Bio
Malcolm Lewis joined York in 2013 and brings more than two decades of commercial real estate experience to his work. He is driven by helping clients attain—and often surpass—their commercial real estate goals. Serving as a trusted consultant, Malcolm focuses on understanding each client’s unique needs and developing thoughtful strategies to address them. He is committed to executing successful transactions and building long-term client relationships.
Since entering the commercial real estate industry in 2001, Malcolm has provided full-cycle services related to the acquisition, leasing, and disposition of commercial properties throughout the Triangle and RTP area. Over the course of his career, he has successfully represented investors, buyers, landlords, sellers, and tenants in hundreds of transactions, developing a broad and well-rounded base of experience across property types and deal structures.
Malcolm’s representative clients and assignments include consulting, portfolio management, and acquisition services for NAPA Walker Auto Stores; advisory and transaction work for an anonymous investor/developer focused on urban redevelopment opportunities across North Carolina; and representation of organizations such as Easter Seals UCP of North Carolina and Virginia. He has also assisted numerous investors and sellers with investment property transactions throughout the state.
He holds the CCIM designation and is an active member of the Triangle Commercial Association of Realtors (TCAR). Malcolm is also deeply engaged in civic leadership, serving as an Executive Board Member for DHIC, a nonprofit affordable housing developer, and as a member of the Wake County Economic Development Board.
Malcolm’s educational background includes attendance at Woodberry Forest School, a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Master of Education degree from the University of Florida.
Outside of work, Malcolm enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the Triangle’s growing communities. His ideal Saturday is spent with family, discovering new activities, and enjoying time together. He and his wife have a daughter and two sons. His hobbies include golf, reading, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.
