Mark is a Chartered Surveyor with over 30 years commercial property experience having worked with a broad range of customers across the UK, Europe, America and Asia. Typically, property costs are the second highest cost on a companies balance sheet and Mark has developed his skills to assist companies identify opportunities to reduce property costs, enhance the value of the estate and or optimise the portfolio to align the property needs with the business needs. He has worked with clients in stress and distress as well as with organisations seeking to improve their profitability across a broad range of sectors and for a variety of stakeholders.

Mark created Real Estate Advisory Services to develop the real estate offering to a wide range of clients and stakeholders across a diverse range of sectors. Utilising his diverse range of skills Mark has assisted with due diligence exercises, cost reduction opportunities, value enhancement situations and property refinancing.
Director - Head of KPMG’s Real Estate Advisory Practice: 1998 - 2012
Mark joined KPMG in 1998 to create the Real Estate Advisory Services team which at its peak comprised a team of 20 property professionals based across the UK. Marks role was to provide real estate advice to a wide range of clients from a variety of sectors who were either purchasing or selling real estate; or experiencing stress or growth of their business. He provided advice to KPMG on the acquisition of the first freehold property within the Partnership, advised on real estate issues in a number of large corporate transactions, mergers and integrations, advised stakeholders on the opportunities to improve value of property portfolios, worked with high net worth individuals in creating investment portfolios, refinancing exercises and also worked with stressed and distressed clients.
Mark has had extensive exposure to property rationalisation exercises, internal audit reviews for many large companies, public sector bodies, including the identification and implementation of cash management opportunities to improve profitability from the property portfoio.
Chartered Surveyor - DTZ: 1993 - 1997
Mark initially worked as a Graduate Surveyor before qualifying in 1995. Once he had qualified Mark spent his time across many disciplines including agency, estate management, asset management, valuation and corporate real estate advice.
