Mark Joseph Buono is currently a visiting professor at the College of Charleston. Before his retirement, Mark was a Managing Director and Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager at the Global Atlantic Financial Group. Mark was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs where he held various roles in the commercial real estate business for 20 years prior to his move to Global Atlantic. Before Goldman, Mark was in research and trading at Freddie Mac and an academic at Rutgers University and Temple University. Mark earned a Ph.D. in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1986 and a B.S. in economics from the College of Charleston.
