Mark McHenry is responsible for leading Hillwood’s Multifamily division, specializing in the development, construction, ownership, financing and management of Class A multifamily communities. Hillwood Multifamily is recognized as a leader in the design of innovative, mixed-use urban neighborhoods that offer active lifestyles in connected settings. The portfolio includes garden and mid-rise products in suburban and urban settings, with more than 3,000 luxury apartment homes at the Alliance Town Center and Frisco Station developments. With a pipeline of over 3,000 additional units in planning and development, Hillwood Multifamily is one of the region’s largest multifamily builders and an industry trailblazer in the design of innovative communities. McHenry has over 30 years of real estate industry experience involving the acquisition, development, financing, construction and management of over $2.5 billion and 20,000 units of multifamily. Prior to Hillwood, McHenry led regional multifamily investment and development operations for public and private companies. He held senior management positions with national apartment REITs and private multifamily investment and development firms including JPI Development as Regional and National Partner, and the Lane Company serving as Regional President and Development Partner. In addition to his extensive development experience, McHenry has led investment sourcing, acquisition and financing activities for development opportunities and stabilized assets involving a wide range of investment and financing structures. Prior to his focus in the multifamily industry, McHenry held a management position in KPMG’s consulting practice, providing a diverse array of real estate investment, development and advisory services. He also gained experience in the engineering consulting industry providing a variety of investment and development services to lenders, owners, developers and investors of commercial real estate.
