Martin joined Tactix in 2002 after many years as a commercial real estate lawyer, most recently as a shareholder of what is now Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC, one of the largest law firms in the country. Previously, Martin was with the Philadelphia o?ce of Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads, LLP, and the Dallas o?ce of what is now Locke Lord LLP. Martin’s legal career covered most aspects of commercial real estate, including o?ce, industrial and retail leasing, construction and permanent financing, loan workouts, forward and reverse like-kind exchanges, sale/leasebacks and land use, development and construction matters. At Tactix, Martin has worked on o?ce and industrial lease transactions, site acquisitions and dispositions, and an assortment of real estate related consulting work. Clients include law firms (Richards, Layton and Finger; Potter, Anderson and Corroon; Rawle & Henderson, LLP; Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP), large privately held companies (Corporation Service Company), institutions (Villanova University) and other big and small business in the Delaware Valley and across the country. In addition to his work at Tactix, Martin has long been active at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, where he has twice served as a Trustee of the church and has led its property committee. He has also been a member of the board of the church’s foundation, and has led the investment committee that oversees the foundation’s $40M endowment. From 2018 to 2021 he was co-chair of the renovation committee for the church’s $17M renovation project. Martin has also been the president of his neighborhood’s homeowners’ association. Martin and his wife Mary live in Radnor, PA. They have two grown daughters and two grandchildren.
