Mason Bodie is an experienced commercial real estate professional with a proven track record managing institutional equity investments, structured capital positions, and large-scale real estate portfolios exceeding $1 billion in value. With deep expertise across common equity, joint-venture equity, preferred equity, and unitranche debt, Mason brings a uniquely comprehensive understanding of both investment strategy and hands-on asset performance.
Previously, he served as Director of Asset Management at Walker & Dunlop Investment Partners, where he led asset management for multiple institutional vehicles and served as the primary point of accountability for post-closing performance. Mason oversaw business plan execution including value-add construction and lease up, on-going sponsor compliance, portfolio risk monitoring, restructuring strategies, and investment realization.
Mason managed a $1.5 billion healthcare real estate portfolio at Welltower, acting as the primary relationship lead for joint-venture equity partnerships with Invesco Real Estate. His responsibilities included full execution of JV business plans, leasing oversight, capital planning, valuation strategies, and disposition management, while also supporting acquisition underwriting for new opportunities.
Known for his collaborative leadership style, rigorous financial discipline, and ability to navigate complex capital structures, Mason has completed more than 1.5 million square feet of transactions and has successfully guided multiple teams and portfolios to higher performance.
Mason holds a BSBA in Accounting and Business Management from the University of Arkansas. He is Argus Software Certified (ASC), a Real Property Administrator (RPA), and an elected former member of the BOMA International Executive Committee.
