Bio
Matt Brooks joined SCC Development Company in 2021. He is active in all aspects of the business including development, acquisitions, and brokerage. Prior to joining SCC Development Company, Matt began his commercial real estate career in 2015 at Edge Realty Partners in Dallas, where he spent 6 years focusing on retail tenant representation, project leasing, and sourcing acquisition/development opportunities. While at Edge, Matt represented clients such as The Saxton Group/McAlister’s Deli, RaceTrac Petroleum, Inc., Raising Cane’s, Guggenheim Retail Real Estate Partners, Hunt Properties, Inc., Ladera Properties, Vaquero Ventures, Leeco Properties, Mesa Real Estate Partners, Onyx Nail Bar, PMB Capital, Red Sky Holdings, TradeCor, and Standridge Companies, among others.
Matt graduated from the University of Arkansas Sam M. Walton College of Business in 2014 with degrees in both Finance (Real Estate) and Economics, and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Outside of SCC, Matt is a car enthusiast, a great cook, and an avid self-taught musician proficient on guitar, drums, bass and piano. When he isn’t standing in front of a guitar amplifier, behind a drum kit or in the kitchen, you can find Matt at the shooting range practicing his long-
range marksmanship, and spending time with family and friends.
