Matt Field is the Chief Real Estate Officer at Crusoe Energy Systems, a vertically integrated AI infrastructure provider focused on sustainable computing solutions. Appointed in October 2025, Field leads Crusoe’s real estate strategy, including acquisition, leasing, capitalization, and development management for its rapidly expanding portfolio of AI data centers. Field's role is critical to Crusoe’s mission of building large-scale, climate-aligned infrastructure to support hyperscale and cloud services platforms. Current projects under Field's oversight include a 1.2-gigawatt AI data center in Abilene, Texas, and a 1.8-gigawatt facility in Wyoming, with additional developments planned globally. Field brings nearly four decades of experience in commercial real estate, offering deep expertise in development, structured finance, and acquisitions.
Before joining Crusoe, Field spent over 30 years at TMG Partners, a leading San Francisco-based real estate investment and development firm. Chris held senior leadership roles including Chief Investment Officer, President, and Co-CEO, and continues to serve as an advisor. At TMG, Field managed a portfolio exceeding 30 million square feet and oversaw more than $10 billion in acquisitions, development, and dispositions. Field's proven track record in securing complex, large-scale projects and cultivating relationships with institutional capital partners and corporate tenants positions Matt as a key driver of Crusoe’s strategic growth in the AI infrastructure sector.
