Matthew is an integral part of the Matthews New York City Capital Markets team, a power-house group in the middle market real estate ecosystem. With over 1,000 unique lender relationships, Matthew and his team have access to diverse capital sources across all asset classes nationwide. Matthew brings a unique blend of strategic thinking, leadership, and analytical prowess to his role at Matthews™, where he continues to make significant contributions in the capital markets sector by arranging debt and equity financing for both institutional and private commercial real estate clients nationwide across all asset classes in the middle market - with a specific focus on complex bridge and construction projects. Matthew’s professional career includes a significant tenure at J.P. Morgan in New York City, where he served as an associate in the Financial Institutions Group (FIG). There, he provided guidance to top-performing hedge fund, private equity, investment banking and commercial real estate clients. Leveraging his in-depth knowledge of market dynamics, he implemented tax[1]efficient and thematically accretive investment strategies across their personal and institutional balance sheets. Matthew also served a brief tenure at Chimera Investment Corporation, an institutional REIT, where he gained comprehensive exposure to CMBS securitizations, commercial real estate underwriting, and detailed operational due diligence.
