Matthew A. Seigel is a real estate executive with over thirteen years of professional experience in retail leasing and consulting. Matthew has significant transactional expertise representing both tenants and property owners, to complete high-profile and complex leases. In addition, Matthew has become a leading thought partner known for developing and implementing strategic real estate plans.
Matthew’s advisory capabilities are founded in thorough knowledge of the national real estate landscape with an equal understanding of urban market conditions and shopping center market conditions, which enables him to maximize performance and value for property owners. Matthew has a unique breadth of experience both in tenant advisory services and agency representation, and he is proud to have represented brands ranging from Hermes, Brioni and Uniqlo to TD Bank, LVMH and Nordstrom.
Matthew created the service line focused on advising digitally native and disruptive brands as they navigate their entry into brick-and-mortar stores. After nearly a decade, Matthew has acquired leading market share working with brands including Warby Parker, Dyson, Allbirds and Casper.
Prior to joining co-founding Lantern Real Estate, Matthew was a Senior Director with Cushman & Wakefield Retail Services and the practice lead and Executive Vice President at Thor Retail Advisors. Mr. Seigel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and serves in advisory roles for some of the venture backed companies he advises.
