Max Talpalar is a retail real estate expert with 15+ years of experience as a national tenant representative, in-house REIT dealmaker, and real estate attorney.
Currently he is the exclusive national real estate rep for both the USA’s largest climbing gym operator, Movement Climbing & Yoga, and the USA's premier padel operator, Padel Haus. His hospitality division includes well-known New York City brands like Fuku, Santo Taco, and Casamata Hospitality (Cosme, ATLA, Esse TacoS). He also advises DTC and international retailers like Myrqvist shoes. His experience representing developers spans across the country, from Williamsburg, Brooklyn, to the West Coast.
Max became a partner with Capricorn Retail Advisors after founding Green Owl Real Estate, where he was managing principal. His real estate career started with a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center, continued as a prolific broker at boutique firm Sinvin Real Estate in New York City, followed by a senior leasing position with international retail giant Unibail Rodamco Westfield. In only two years at the helm of Green Owl Real Estate, Max landed several high-profile deals and earned multiple Power Broker awards in New York City and Philadelphia. He found new locations for national exclusive client Padel Haus, long-standing client Casamata Hospitality, and jewelry brand gorjana, among others. While representing 579 Broadway in SoHo he landed the first USA location for GU, a Uniqlo brand. He also consulted on development project VAI Resort in Phoenix and completed deals at The Shops at NorthCreek in Denver, Colorado.
