Michael P. Diaz is based in the firm’s Irvine, CA office, Diaz brings to his position over 15 years of experience assisting clients in all phases of the property tax cycle. Areas of expertise include: pre-acquisition due diligence; assessment reviews and appeals; informal negotiations with assessing officials; and presentations before formal boards of review. Diaz successfully reduced assessments for property types, including office, warehouse, retail, industrial, hospitality, multifamily, mixed-use and special purpose properties. He has managed regional and national portfolios for a variety of clients, including real estate investment trusts, private equity investors, institutional real estate investors, retailers and manufacturers. Prior to his current role, Diaz worked for a national property tax firm most recently as a market leader, where he was responsible for managing the southern California property tax practice and served as a national client account manager. He was responsible for client assets located in the western United States and Hawaii. Prior to his last role, Diaz was a property tax manager at Ryan, LLC and Thomson Reuters, with focus on the California, Washington, and Hawaii Markets.
