Bio
Michael J. Ferrara began his career in Real Estate when he was 19 years old by interning at SMK Management, a real estate company with over 900 apartment units. After graduating from Indiana University in 2008, he began working full time for Colliers International L.I. Inc. in the Investment Sales Division. Within his first three years at Colliers, he successfully negotiated and closed numerous sales transactions.
Michael’s understanding of the real estate market led him to join Highcap Group in 2011 as an Investment Sales Associate. In his time with Highcap, Michael successfully negotiated and closed on over $150 million worth of investment property and was promoted to Senior Director at the firm. In 2017,
Michael founded Brax Realty and is the broker of record and Managing Principal of the firm. To date, Michael has completed over $396,000,000 in deal volume.
In 2015, Michael was honored by Commercial Observer as a “30 under 30” in Commercial Real Estate and has written for or has been featured in the New York Real Estate Journal, The Real Deal, The Commercial Observer and The New York Times.
In his free time, Michael enjoys playing basketball and golf and currently resides in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn with his wife Tara and daughter Isabella.
