With over 25 years of enclosed mall and specialty lifestyle center leasing, J. Michael Nagy, partner/UCR Urban, brings a wealth of experience in notable landlord assignments and successes.
Considered one of the best project leasing consultants in the country, Michael has handled and overseen complete leasing activities for eight super regional malls across the country; leased 15 community and power centers on the East coast and has been involved in approximately 10 mixed-use and lifestyle projects over the past four years.
Michael is nationally recognized for his innovative ideas and solutions in support of cutting-edge lifestyle centers. Currently, he and his brother, Robert Nagy, are handling some of the top lifestyle project leasing across the nation including Ellis Preserve Town Square (Newton Square, Pennsylvania), Market Street - The Woodlands (The Woodlands, Texas), Market Street at Flowood Town Center (Flowood, Mississippi), The Corner at Short Pump (Roanoke, Virginia), McEwen Place Town Center (Franklin, Tennessee), River Plaza (Fort Worth, Texas), University Park Village (Fort Worth, Texas), and Watters Creek (Allen, Texas).
He has consulted and worked with some of the nation’s top lifestyle and mixed-use developers including Madison Marquette, Trademark Properties, Berwind, Vintage Realty, Gaylord Hotels, Archon and RED Development.
Michael began his real estate career as a leasing representative for MacDonald and Masi. He then became the regional leasing representative and vice president for the Boca Raton and Dallas offices of Urban Retail Properties. He founded his own lifestyle leasing firm, JMN Resources in 2002, which he then merged with Strategic Retail Advisors to become principal of the firm. He joined UCR Urban as a partner in 2007.
Some of his past project leasing assignments include Brandon Town Center (Brandon, Florida), Plaza at Citrus Park (Tampa, Florida), Penn Square Mall (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma), Woodlands Hills Mall (Tulsa, Oklahoma), North Star Mall (San Antonio, Texas), Houston Galleria expansion (Houston, Texas) and Street at Southpoint (Durham, North Carolina).
Michael attended Temple University and received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas.
