Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Michael’s love of Pittsburgh and its amazing suburbs runs as deep as the city’s love for all things Black and Gold. His familiarity and affinity for the region are the perfect foundation for buying and selling homes in this market.
From Michael’s first candy bar selling contest at his suburban-Moon Township Elementary School to selling M&Ms every year for the track team and competing in National Marketing competitions, Michael’s penchant for teamwork, sales, and competition was evident and nurtured early on.
Prior to entering the real estate world, Michael honed his negotiating skills and team-focused sales approach through years of sales success in companies including AT&T, Wheeling Engineering, Protective Products International, and his own Landscaping venture, the Lawn Barbers. Those endeavors fostered an understanding of the importance of building relationships with clients rather than focusing solely on sales stats. That realization led to numerous national sales awards that eventually propelled him to pursue real estate, which has turned out to be a natural fit for his entrepreneurial spirit and desire to serve clients above all else.
Along with his business partner John Shutey III, who share his philosophy of putting clients first, Michael has been pushing the boundaries of what is possible in Pittsburgh Real Estate since 2014. When he’s not making buyers and sellers happy, Michael spends his time with his wife and two children. He’s also an avid Disney aficionado, golfer, saltwater fisherman, and coach of his kids’ soccer and baseball teams.
