Bio
Michael Spring is a licensed commercial real estate broker who specializes in tenant representation across the New York City office market. He focuses on structuring complex lease agreements that align with each client’s operational goals, protect against long-term risk, and create financial value—whether it's a headquarters relocation, lease renewal, or transition out of co-working space.
He is a graduate of NYU’s Schack Institute of Real Estate, where he earned a Master of Science in Real Estate with a concentration in Finance and Investment. His coursework emphasized corporate finance, capital markets, debt and equity structuring, and advanced financial modeling—skills that now inform his strategic approach to every negotiation.
While ABS Partners Real Estate is a full-service firm, Michael’s expertise is squarely focused on representing tenants. He works closely with his partner, James Emden, a veteran of the industry with five decades of experience, including senior leadership at CBRE and a career spanning some of Manhattan’s most complex and high-profile leasing transactions. Under James’ mentorship, Michael has developed a thoughtful, analytical, and results-driven approach that blends financial insight with real-world dealmaking.
