Michelle Pauley is the founder of the IOS Chicks, an all women commercial real estate team focused exclusively on Industrial Outdoor Storage (IOS) across the United States. With a sharp eye for opportunity and a no-nonsense approach to execution, Michelle and her team have quickly established themselves as a rising force in a highly specialized sector. Michelle is no stranger to the IOS world. In fact, it’s in her DNA. Raised on a 5-acre IOS site bordered by a railroad track on the southside of the property, her blue-collar upbringing gave her a firsthand education in truss yards, steel yards, lay-down yards, junk yards and every flavor of heavy-use outdoor space. She spent her youth driving across the US quizzing her dad on state and national truck driving law so he could compete in truck rodeos. Later she married into a family deeply rooted in underground utility contracting. So, when she entered commercial real estate, Michelle originally set her sights on everything but IOS and establish her own path. That plan didn’t last long. With a contact list filled with contractors, logistics operators, and blue-collar professionals, the pull towards IOS was unavoidable. What started as familiar ground and an easy commission check to tide her over until a luxury hotel deal could be completed, has now become a strategic focus and a national brand.
Though a relative newcomer to commercial real estate, Michelle has already made significant waves. She leads a top-producing team at eXp Commercial, secured her place on the CREi “Instagram Top Influencer” list three years running, was a nominee for the City of Phoenix Athena award (2022), and currently serves as the Chair of the National Agent Advisory Council at eXp Commercial—all in less than five years in the industry.
