In addition to a managing a full service leasing, rental, and property management company, Michelle Twardy also owns and operates a commercial collection and business services agency in Monticello, Minnesota. She received her education from the University of Minnesota and has been a licensed real estate agent in Minnesota for over 20 years. As part of her real estate business, she owns and manages multiple commercial and residential rental properties and is responsible for all legal aspects regarding leases and fair housing laws. Her skills in advertising, marketing as well as just general old-fashioned persistence have consistently resulted in a 98% occupancy rate. Michelle’s passion, if not her area of expertise above all else, is taking a non-performing property and developing it into a winner that delivers highly improved results to the owners, tenants, and the community in general.
Ms. Twardy began her real estate career as part of a land development group that specialized in low income and senior housing. She is an experienced and knowledgeable negotiator in the areas of building designs, site plans, and operating with local and federal governmental agencies. Ms. Twardy is a specialist in market research, demographic analysis, and promotion. Her professional career as a business owner has trained her in sales management, supervising employees, operational planning, budget development, and setting and achieving goals.
Ms. Twardy was one of the developers of Swan River Montessori Charter School in Monticello Minnesota. She worked closely with the Financing of the SRCS Building Company to secure a 1.8 million dollar loan for the building of the school. She worked with city officials to get the land donated, as well as a grant from Cargill Foods in excess of $400,000. She is currently the president of the building board and a former president of the school board.
