Bio
At C3 CRE, Mike brings over a decade of experience in real estate with a specialized focus on
cannabis properties/business opportunities. He has developed deep expertise in “Green Zone”
site selection, cannabis-related real estate transactions, and the regulatory frameworks that shape
this evolving industry. His extensive real estate expertise and leadership within the cannabis
industry make him a trusted advisor to property owners, investors, and cannabis entrepreneurs
alike.
Mike began his real estate career in 2014 with Keller and Associates Real Estate, starting in
residential before transitioning to industrial and retail properties. By 2017, he had specialized in
cannabis-related real estate, helping clients identify compliant properties and lobbying
municipalities to adopt ordinances expanding cannabis markets.
As Director of the Michigan Cannabis Development Association (MCDA), he played a key role
in lobbying for the Michigan Marihuana Facilities Licensing Act (MMFLA), which established
the state’s regulated cannabis market. He later helped launch some of Michigan’s first licensed
cannabis facilities—including Provisioning Centers, Processing, and Cultivation sites—and
managed a 20,000 SF Cultivation operation as General Manager/Director of Cultivation.
In 2023, Mike joined NAI Farbman Real Estate, focusing on cannabis real estate/businesses in
Michigan and other legal markets nationwide, plus traditional commercial real estate properties.
His combined experience as a real estate professional and cannabis operator provides clients with
a unique, dual perspective that blends transactional expertise with operational insight.
Mike earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Baker College. He is widely
recognized for his expertise in cannabis licensing, having helped numerous facilities obtain
approval—often achieving perfect eligibility scores or securing the first licenses in their
municipalities. Mike is also known for his continued involvement in cannabis advocacy and
industry development across Michigan and beyond.
