Ming Lee is the Head of Dispositions and Development for CBRE Investment Management’s Americas Direct Real Estate business. In his role, Ming is responsible for the management and oversight of dispositions across the Americas. Ming also utilizes his expertise in project management to oversee the Development Team, which is responsible for all items related to development, including establishing protocols, design standards and specifications, development agreements, construction contracts and stabilization of the asset. He also has overall responsibility for developer relationships, as well as working with internal teams throughout the life of the project. Ming joined CBRE Investment Management in 2001 as an Associate with the U.S. value-add strategy and ultimately became a Portfolio Manager. In his progression, he was involved in various facets of the program, including acquisitions, dispositions, due diligence, asset management, oversight of development projects, financing and managing joint ventures. His experience also spans across the three major product types, commercial, residential and industrial. Through these various roles, Ming continued to expand his industry knowledge, allowing him to move into his current role, a Senior Managing Director responsible for leading the Development Team. Ming’s previous experience includes acquisition, disposition and asset management roles at Archon Group, Eastdil Realty and Kilroy Realty. He began his career in the industry in 1997. Ming earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Master’s degree in Business Administration in Real Estate Finance and Portfolio Investments from the University of Southern California.
