Nathan Knowles serves as Executive Managing Director, Southeast Region Leader & Director, Mergers & Acquisitions at Transwestern. In this role, he develops and implements comprehensive growth strategies that align with the firm’s broad transformation plan designed to drive revenue, increase market share and expand investor and client relationships. Partnering with local teams, Nathan leverages a strong background in both corporate leadership and commercial real estate operations to enhance service line performance and client delivery, while accelerating new business initiatives through strategic alliances, M&A, and platform collaboration.
Before joining Transwestern, Knowles served as Executive Managing Director and Principal at Colliers, overseeing all business lines while leading Atlanta’s operations and partnership. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Colliers Site Selection Services and a Senior Vice President at JLL. His early career experience includes progressive international leadership roles at Electrolux Group and General Electric.
Nathan is a licensed real estate broker in Georgia, Mississippi and South Carolina. He is on the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors board of directors.
Nathan earned a Master of Business Administration from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and completed an executive leadership program at IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland. He completed his undergraduate studies at Wake Forest University and the University of Arkansas. He was an All-ACC and All-SEC athlete, as well as a member of multiple NCAA championship teams.
