Nick Hollstegge has always loved the challenge—and payoff—inherent in real estate. Now, as Farpoint’s managing director in our Asheville, N.C., office, he’s balancing risk and reward on a broader scale, leading acquisitions and implementation of our investment strategy in the Southeast.
Nick began his real estate career as a broker in the early 2010s and has completed over 10 million square feet of transactions. Along the way, he learned the ins and outs of tax incentives, which, along with his network of contacts and market knowledge, gives him an edge in identifying regional opportunities.
Most recently, he oversaw the acquisition of a vacant textile mill in an Opportunity Zone in Easley, S.C., which is being turned into a 200-unit, loft-style apartment redevelopment called Alys Mill. He also helped purchase and transform an obsolete wood-flooring facility between Greenville and Columbia, S.C., into a 21st century facility that makes conduits for fiber-optic cable.
Nick has a bachelor’s degree from Furman University. He is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors and the Urban Land Institute and is on the board of the Greenville Revitalization Corp. He and his family live near downtown Greenville. Outside of the office, you can find him on the golf course, on the trail or coaching his son’s tee-ball team.
