A native New Yorker, Nigel received his bachelor's degree in economics and finance from Rutgers University, and later served as Founder and Managing Director of Finance NYC which provided over $100 million in capital to growing companies. His team was a key asset for the Moinian Group, one of NYC's largest residential developers. He has received accolades for both his incisive management style, personable nature, and exceptional appreciation of the unique value of the properties with which he worked.
Nigel's experience working with local congregations and spiritual communities has also informed his current role at Compass in a variety of ways. An Ordained Interfaith Minister since 2005, his pastoral duties supply him in addition to his exceptional technical and organizational skills, a caring approach to his clients' request and interactions, and an overall understanding that buying or selling a home is not only a business transaction but a sacred venture.
Nigel has held a wide range of appointments and affiliations in the community, he has served on the board of directors for ITAC, Samaritan Health Services, The Lighthouse Inc., and The Make-A-Wish Foundation. He was also Chairperson of the Board for both the Dr. Muriel Petioni Charter School, the Foot Center of New York and the Real Estate board for HCCI.
