Mr. Ruff founded Triumph Real Estate Corporation in 1998 for the purpose of pursuing innovative new approaches to commercial property development, operations and corporate services.
Since 1998, Mr. Ruff has stewarded Triumph through the development or acquisition of seven unique office, industrial, retail or multifamily properties, managed those assets through lease-up, refinance, or sale as appropriate, and directed the acquisition or disposition of an additional $20 million in investment property transactions on behalf of third-party clients. In addition he has overseen the successful implementation of Triumph''s Property Management and Corporate Services divisions as well as its new office in Southeastern Virginia.
Prior to creating Triumph, Mr. Ruff gained a broad based set of skills in commercial real estate while serving in various positions during a ten-year period with some of the top national and regional firms in the industry. At Cushman & Wakefield, Coldwell Banker Commercial and Pacifica Holding Company he gained experience in the acquisition, financing, leasing, development and disposition of commercial real estate. He was involved in over 250,000 square feet of development projects, investment transactions representing over $100 million in consideration, and several hundred thousand square feet of leasing transactions. Additionally, Mr. Ruff served as Asset Manager for a 220,000 square foot portfolio of office properties, for which he was directly responsible for creating and enhancing asset value from acquisition through development, leasing and disposition.
Mr. Ruff earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Economy from James Madison College at Michigan State University. He is involved with several trade organizations, including the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), the National Association of Realtors, the Denver Metropolitan Commercial Association of Realtors, and the Denver Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce.
Also active in the community, Mr. Ruff serves on the Board of Directors of Brokers Benefiting Kids, and teaches religious education at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Castle Rock. He currently lives in Castle Rock, Colorado with his wife Barbara and their two children, Cydney and Sabrina.
