Paul Spittle is the Senior Vice President of Acquisition at Public Storage. He joined the company in September 2015.
Public Storage is the world's largest owner and developer of self-storage facilities. Mr. Spittle is central to shareholder value creation and the growth of more than 3,500 facilities across the United States serving over two million customers. The company is a member of the S&P 500 and FT Global 500.
In his role, Mr. Spittle leads the company's national real estate acquisition strategy around the country as well as transaction execution. He is responsible for strategic planning across acquisition and commercial platforms, as well as all commercial retail efforts, which generate more than $60 million in annual revenue. His role includes oversight of investment strategy, portfolio growth, and the integration of acquired assets into the Public Storage platform. During his tenure, he has overseen more than $10 billion in transactions, playing a key role in the expansion and optimization of the Public Storage portfolio.
Prior to joining Public Storage, Mr. Spittle served as Vice President of Acquisitions at Westwood Financial Corp from 2006 to 2015, where he led acquisition efforts across both opportunistic and core investment strategies.
Mr. Spittle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine, and pursued his MBA at the University of Ulster in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
