Awarded the Most Effective Chairman award in 1995 and the President's Cup in 1999. Having served on the State Assoc. Economic Advisory Task Force in the 80's, Berrien County's St. Joseph Harbor Task Force forming the Harbor Authority, in the 90's and the neighborhood redevelopment leader for the public acquisition of Silver Beach beginning in 1978. The historical leader in SWMI of Community & Economic Development for Berrien, Van Buren and Cass Counties.
Beginning in 2004 expanding to eight counties by participating in the Regional Leadership Alliance. Named as the primary Regional Steward in 2007 for the Michiana Region, which encompasses the Saint Joseph River Basin. While Pete's sales activity typically is by representing buyers in their acquisition of homes, investment, rehabilitation and development projects he does list a limited number of properties for sale. His expertise in the practice of buying and selling real estate provides him with the unique ability to work for both parties at the same time arriving at the closing table completely satisfied with each individual side of the transaction.
Due to a background in corporate manufacturing management, most recently with GE, as well as an AFL-CIO Committee Chairmanship he practices win-win solutions to problem solving.
Pete even ran for public office once having been a candidate for Berrien County Commissioner in 1997.
