Bio
Peter's corporate real estate career began in 1987 at Knowlton Realty, a firm known for having the best training in the country. Today, Peter's business is characterized by three ideals: 1) the client above all else; 2) embracing creative solutions; and 3) continually expanding real estate and business competence. Peter has an MBA from The Richard Ivey School of Business.
Over Peter's career, Peter has represented many notable corporations; McKinsey & Company, Mead Corporation, Hilroy Canada, Dow Jones/Wall Street Journal, Swatch Group and Quest Software among them. Peter represented a major global property owner, leasing and marketing their large Toronto office development for two decades – meaning Peter understands how landlord’s work and think – a significant tool when representing tenants. A few of Peter's achievements are:
McKinsey & Company, the premier global management consulting firm, retained me to craft a ground-breaking private/institutional real estate partnerships to house their 60,000 sf head office on Charles Street on the University of Toronto campus.
Leveraging a chance meeting on a train from Budapest to Prague into a 60,000 square foot off-the-radar lease transaction.
Recommending a no-go strategy for Towers Perrin (now Willis Towers Watson), the leading Human Resource consultants, the advice eventually translating into seven-figure savings for the client’s Montreal office.
Launched the Canadian business of LaSalle Partners in 1997 (now JLL, NYSE:JLL) with Cityspace partner Laurence Himel.
