Bio
Petra has been proudly serving the beautiful Mid Hudson Valley region as a full time Realtor since 2014. Her philosophy is simple, clients come first. She is committed to consistent and responsive communication, diligence, and genuine care throughout every transaction. Clients who work with Petra can expect a strong commitment to achieving their goals within budget and timeframe, guided by close listening, thoughtful strategy, and expert market knowledge. She supports buyers and sellers of both residential and investment properties, and her relationships with clients extend well beyond the closing table, as she remains available with advice and trusted resources for post closing projects. Originally from the Black Forest region of Germany, an area that reminds her in many ways of the Catskills, Petra later lived in Frankfurt am Main, where she earned a Master of Arts in American Studies from Goethe University. She has called New York State home since 2001. Her professional background includes work at a Commercial Real Estate Investment Bank, followed by several years as an HR Administrator at Rockefeller University in New York City. After moving to Ulster County in 2012, Petra reconnected with her passion for real estate and has been thriving in the industry ever since. She has built strong relationships across the field and is known for her firm yet kind communication style, which makes her an effective negotiator who keeps doors open even when transactions become complex. Her priority is to guide clients through every step of the buying or selling process with minimal stress and plenty of enjoyment along the way. Outside of real estate, Petra is a dedicated garden enthusiast who enjoys tending to her little farm in High Falls. She is an avid cook who loves unwinding with her family while experimenting in the kitchen and exploring new cuisines and techniques. She also volunteers with her favorite community organization in Kingston, The People’s Place.
