Rachel Butiu serves as Senior Regional Director at Mason Asset Management Inc., where she leads leasing, disposition, and investment strategy initiatives across a national retail portfolio. Her responsibilities include overseeing lease negotiations, tenant representation assignments, asset dispositions, and transaction execution across multiple markets. She manages a portfolio that includes enclosed malls, open-air shopping centers, strip centers, outparcels, and freestanding retail assets, while coordinating with ownership, legal teams, and brokerage partners to advance leasing and investment objectives. She also supports national tenant representation efforts and works across markets including Alabama, California, Colorado, North Carolina, New York, Oregon, South Carolina, Utah, and Washington.
Prior to joining Mason Asset Management, Butiu served as Vice President at Realty Insight Group in Long Island, New York. She joined Mason Asset Management in 2019 and has more than 15 years of commercial real estate experience representing clients in retail, industrial, medical, educational, and corporate sectors. Notable clients have included Hobby Lobby, The Briad Group, Jennifer Furniture, Goodrich Movie Theater, ADI, SAE Institute, Pizza Hut, and Cricket Wireless. Throughout her career, she has received recognition including CoStar Power Broker awards, Long Island Business News' Top Suffolk Retail Deal recognition, and a Long Island Business News cover story feature. She also oversees portions of Mason Asset Management's Long Island and West Coast portfolios and has played a role in expansion and leasing initiatives for newly acquired retail assets.
