Bio
Rafik Moore is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Brait Capital, a vertically integrated real estate investment firm headquartered in Edina, Minnesota. Moore oversees all aspects of the company’s operations, including acquisitions, financing, redevelopment, and asset management. Brait Capital has become known for its value-add investment strategy due to Moore's leadership, focusing on distressed retail and industrial properties and transforming them into high-performing assets. Moore has spearheaded notable projects such as the redevelopment of Midtown Square Mall in St. Cloud, Minnesota, where the team is converting obsolete retail space into mixed-use facilities, including light industrial flex and small business incubators.
Moore’s career spans over two decades in commercial real estate. Before founding Brait Capital in 2009, Rafik served as CEO of Investors Capital LLC (2009–2016), specializing in rehabilitation, construction, leasing, and investment strategies. Moore previously held leadership roles at Royal Commercial Capital (2006–2009) as Senior Broker and CEO, focusing on financing, brokering, and syndication of commercial real estate deals. Moore also founded Caspian Group in 2016, a brokerage and property management firm that grew to manage over 2 million square feet of assets across the Midwest and Florida.
Originally from Uzbekistan, Moore immigrated to the United States in 1998. Rafik earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management in 2001. Fluent in English, Russian, Spanish, and Uzbek, Moore is an active member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization and frequently mentors emerging leaders in the real estate sector.
