Reuben Torenberg re-joined CBRE in October 2017 through the acquisition of Custom Spaces. He specializes in representing startups, technology companies and venture capital firms in acquiring, disposing, renewing and expanding office locations in the San Francisco Bay Area markets and beyond. He originally joined CBRE’s Saddle Brook, New Jersey office in July 2014 as an associate, specializing in tenant representation for Hudson, Morris and Somerset Counties. His primary responsibilities included business development and local transaction management with veteran broker Remy deVarenne.
Reuben has assisted his clients in office and industrial leases, dispositions and sales. In his most significant deal of 2016, his team represented Crum & Forster in leasing 35,000 square feet in Jersey City with the help of a large grant from the Grow NJ initiative.
Since joining Vice Chairman Jenny Haeg’s San Francisco team in early 2017, Reuben has worked on over 50 transactions representing prominent technology companies and venture capital firms such as CRV, NFX Guild, Prezi, Collabera, Humble Bundle, Durie Tangri, Knotel and Hinge Health, among many others. His time is focused on guiding his clients throughout the entire real estate transaction process and on sourcing new business for the team.
Mr. Torenberg graduated from the University of Miami in May 2014 with a major in Sport Administration and a minor in Business Administration. In his spare time, he is an avid basketball player and also enjoys playing chess.
