Bio
Ricardo De Rojas serves as a Managing Director at The Ardent Companies. He brings over two decades of experience in development and construction management, having worked with both nationally and internationally recognized firms. At Ardent, Ricardo has led the development of a wide range of asset types across the United States, including student housing, adaptive reuse and mixed-use redevelopment projects, ground-up self-storage facilities, cannabis cultivation and processing centers, and industrial warehouse repositioning.
Before joining Ardent in 2018, Ricardo was the Development Director at Regency Centers (formerly Equity One), where he oversaw the development and redevelopment of retail real estate. Prior to that, he held the role of Deputy Country Manager for Turner Construction, focusing on landmark projects throughout Mexico and Latin America.
Ricardo is actively involved in industry organizations, including the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). He holds certifications as a LEED Accredited Professional from the U.S. Green Building Council and as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as a Master of Business Administration from the Yale School of Management with a concentration in Finance and Real Estate.
