Richard Katz, Richard Katz Realty Ltd. brings more than 43 years experience in the brokerage, construction, development, property management, investment property analysis, marketing, and sale of shopping centers and other retail facilities, office buildings, apartments complexes and industrial properties.
He has been involved with urban and suburban adaptive reuse of building and land that he has assembled for residential development projects located in Ohio, New Jersey and Florida. Successful projects include sale of several buildings for redevelopment in the Cleveland Historic Warehouse District and The Flats, Shopping Center Development and Redevelopment, Re-tenanting distressed office properties and disposition of assets for Real Estate Investment Trusts.
Since 1968, Richard (an expert in the field of Real Estate Investments) has successfully pursued a career in acquisition, development property management and sale of investment property.
Transactions in which he has been involved total in excess of $400 Million, ranging in size from small commercial properties to Large Multiple Building Office Complexes, to Shopping Malls/Strip Centers of 200,000 – 500,000 square feet.
He also has successfully transacted complicated real property asset and mortgage sales for several institutional investor clients during his career, including: Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company assets, The Jacobs Realty Group, Forest City Enterprises, I.R.T. Real Estate Investment Trust, New Plan Realty, The E.J. Debartolo Company (now Simon DeBartolo), Ramco-Gershensen REIT, Developers Diversified Realty, Associated Estates, the Zaremba Companies and the Snavely Companies.
