Richard joined Associated Architects in 2006 and became a Director in 2013.
He has delivered projects across residential, arts, education, and workplace sectors, including new builds, refurbishments, and masterplans. Richard leads the practice’s schools work and education frameworks, focusing on strategic design and site viability.
Recent projects include a triple Regional RIBA Award-winning education building in Wolverhampton and Birmingham’s only net-zero carbon, mixed-use residential-led scheme. He also has experience with heritage contexts, including alterations to a Grade I listed station and award-winning additions to scheduled ancient monuments. As Director responsible for Health and Safety and Quality Assurance, he oversees these areas within the practice.
