Rita Draper is the Owner of Block Island Resorts, a family-owned hospitality company based in New Shoreham, Rhode Island. She has been involved with the business since its founding in 1970, when her family opened The 1661 Inn, which became the cornerstone of what is now The 1661 Resort. Rita oversees the company’s lodging, food and beverage, and guest experience operations on Block Island and continues to manage the long-term stewardship of its historic properties.
