Bio
Robby Mailatyar is a Senior Managing Director of Real Estate for Greystar with responsibility for the oversight of the Owned Assets for Greystar’s Property Management business. Robby and his team provide oversight for all owned assets, including conventional, active adult, student, and build for rent totaling 450 assets throughout the US. In addition, Robby’s team has operational oversight of Greystar’s student and active adult external client assets. Robby is a member of the Greystar Executive Committee. In his prior role, he assumed leadership responsibility for the Midwest division, where he played a critical role in stabilizing and growing the company’s Midwest business.
Since joining Greystar in 2007, Robby has held roles such as Operations and Financial Analyst supporting the Houston area, Regional Property Manager, and Senior Director in development and new construction. Active in the multifamily industry since 2005, Robby is experienced in high-rise, mid-rise, and garden-style assets and has worked with numerous institutional owners, including Goldman Sachs, RREEF, Howard Hughes, CROW, Blackrock, Intercontinental, and ST Residential.
Robby holds Texas and Minnesota real estate licenses and previously served on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Multi Housing Association. He also attended Harvard University’s Continuing Education for Leadership Excellence in Strategy and Innovation program.
