Rob Speyer is the Chief Executive Officer of Tishman Speyer, a leading global real estate owner, developer, and investment manager with a portfolio that spans major cities across the world. Since becoming CEO in 2008, he has guided the firm through a period of significant expansion and diversification, extending its reach into residential, industrial, life science, credit, and venture capital platforms. A fourth-generation leader in the Tishman real estate legacy, Speyer has played a transformative role in shaping the firm’s global strategy. Under his leadership, Tishman Speyer has delivered tens of millions of square feet of development and redevelopment across international markets, serving thousands of industry-leading tenants and advancing major mixed-use and life-science projects. He also co-founded Breakthrough Properties, a joint venture focused on innovative life-science real estate environments. Speyer is deeply engaged in civic and philanthropic work in his hometown of New York City. He serves as Co-Chair of the Partnership for New York City, and has chaired the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City under multiple mayoral administrations. He also sits on the boards of New York-Presbyterian Hospital, the Real Estate Roundtable, and the Citizens Budget Commission, among others. A graduate of Columbia College, where he earned his degree magna cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, Speyer began his career as a reporter before joining Tishman Speyer in 1995. He steadily advanced through leadership roles, culminating in his appointment as President and CEO. Today, he remains one of the most influential figures in global real estate, known for his vision, long-term stewardship, and commitment to building dynamic, future-forward urban communities.
