Over the years he rose through the ranks and became President of the company in 1975. In 1986, he bought the remaining stock and later sold an interest in the company to Dominion Capital, an affiliate of Dominion Resources, Inc. He was involved in the development of several high profile real estate developments in the Hampton Roads area. They include Lynnhaven Mall, Greenbrier Mall, World Trade Center, Harborview, and 150 Main office building. He has developed numerous other projects including 27+ grocery-anchored neighborhood shopping centers. In 1993, Bob retired from active participation at Goodman Segar Hogan to focus on real estate investments and personal interests. He organized Stanton Partners, Inc., specializing in commercial real estate investments. He is currently involved in the development and ownership of projects in southeastern Virginia totaling over $100 million in value.
