After moving to Indianapolis in 1987, Ryan joined Kosene & Kosene Development Company as a leasing agent. In 1991, he was promoted to Vice President of Real Estate. In that capacity he oversaw the leasing, tenant retention and management for over 1 million square feet of retail centers. In 1998, Ryan formed Hurst Commercial Properties to develop properties in Indiana and California. Between 1998 to 2006 Ryan developed and sold projects in excess of 100 million dollars. In 2006, Ryan joined NAI Olympia Partners as Vice President/Retail. In 2010, Ryan joined Urban Space Commercial Properties. In his real estate career, Ryan has been involved in transactions in excess of $500 million. Ryan attended the University of Southern California. He is a member of The International Council of Shopping Centers and RARE Connection.
