Bio
Mr. Nelson is responsible for the financial & investment analysis of potential acquisitions on behalf of Foresite as well as asset dispositions, capital structure modeling, market research-surveillance, due diligence and other investment-related activities. He is also Managing Broker of Foresite Realty Partners. He brings over a decade of commercial real estate finance and investment advisory experience. He has achieved past success through his commitment to client needs and his keen understanding of both market and investment real estate fundamentals. Prior to joining Foresite, he served as a Vice President of Sovereign Bank specializing in commercial real estate lending throughout the Midwest. Earlier in his career, he served institutional clients in an investment advisory capacity at MB Real Estate and two prominent Big Four consulting firms. In a consulting role, he recently developed distressed asset optimization strategies using accelerated marketing & auction methods to reduce time on market and maximize pricing/minimize loss on behalf of national financial institutions and property owners. Acting as a client advocate and fiduciary, he developed customized strategies that consistently maximized investment returns on behalf of his clients. Mr. Nelson graduated from Michigan State University where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Hospitality Business & Finance. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), Real Estate Investment Association (REIA) and the Michigan State University Alumni Association. He is a licensed real estate managing broker in Illinois.
