Bio
Samuel Essery is a commercial real estate broker on Colliers' NYC outer boroughs team, representing owners and tenants in leasing, sales, and development transactions across industrial, office, and retail properties. He pairs granular submarket knowledge with rigorous financial analysis to help clients move decisively.
Early in his tenure, Samuel helped represent the landlord in a 42,000 SF office lease to QSAC at 222-25 Jamaica Avenue in Queens. The transaction earned him a CoStar Power Broker Award for Q4 2025 and a 2026 CoStar Impact Award. The following quarter, QSAC engaged the team as its tenant representative for a 25,268 SF office lease at 1200 Zerega Avenue in the Bronx, a transaction recognized as a top Q1 2026 leasing deal that earned Samuel a second consecutive Power Broker Award. Across the two transactions, Samuel has represented both the landlord and tenant sides within his first year in the business.
Samuel joined the outer boroughs team as an intern in 2025 and was brought on full-time after graduation. During that time he built the analytical toolkit he brings to every assignment today: tracking tenant movements across the boroughs, building comparative market analyses, underwriting transactions, and preparing offering memoranda.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Economics with a minor in Finance from Providence College, where he graduated magna cum laude with departmental honors and membership in Omicron Delta Epsilon, the international economics honor society. His undergraduate research applying panel regression and time-series modeling was selected for presentation at the college's Annual Celebration of Student Scholarship and Creativity.
A three-sport varsity athlete in high school, Samuel went on to play men's rugby at Providence College, where he also served as team Treasurer, and he holds a U.S. Coast Guard Limited Master License. He has coached with Portsmouth Youth Lacrosse.
