Scott Schnuckel is Managing Director of Americas Retail at CBRE, where he plays a key role in driving the growth strategy for the firm’s retail platform across the region. Scott is responsible for expanding CBRE’s retailer business, deepening client relationships, and advancing the firm’s integrated service offerings to deliver seamless, high-impact solutions across sectors.
Scott has extensive leadership experience and a strong track record of performance in retail real estate. Prior to joining CBRE, he served as Head of Real Estate at Kohl’s, where he oversaw all aspects of the real estate lifecycle, including new store development, relocations, redevelopment, lease restructuring, and capital markets initiatives. Under his leadership, Kohl’s achieved significant growth, including dozens of store openings across multiple formats, more than $300 million in disposition proceeds, and over $200 million in value creation through lease optimization. He also played an instrumental role in the company’s strategic partnership with Sephora, leading cross-functional efforts in site selection, sales forecasting, and new store planning.
Highly respected in the industry, Scott is known for his strategic mindset and future-focused approach. He holds an MBA in Financial Strategy and a BBA in Finance & Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He serves as a Trustee Board Member and is a 4 Under 40 Award recipient from ICSC. He is also an Adjunct Instructor of Real Estate at Marquette University, reflecting his commitment to developing the next generation of industry leader
