A native of Southern California and graduate of Duke University in North Carolina, Sean Murphy arrived in Austin, Texas in the summer of 2000. After a brief stint in the short-lived tech boom, Murphy ventured into commercial real estate and found his true passion: retail brokerage. Murphy specializes in tenant representation, site acquisition, and disposition initiatives. He combines local market knowledge, strong negotiating skill, and a creative problem-solving ability to best service his clients. His desire to put his clients’ needs above all else help him build relationships that go beyond just the dollars and cents of a deal. Murphy believes tenant representation is an intricate, complex puzzle that’s fun to solve. He has been consistently ranked by the Austin Business Journal as one of Austin’s Retail “Heavy Hitters.” In addition, he has been ranked by CoStar as one of Austin’s Retail “Power Brokers” for multiple years. Murphy was a recipient of the Staubach Retail Team Award for both the CVS and Brinker Portfolio Dispositions. He also received the Staubach Retail “Rising Star” Award and “Rookie of the Year” while at Kennedy Wilson.
