Prior to joining The Mogharebi Group to lead the firm's affordable housing brokerage division, Shawn Bolour has been involved in $200 million of development activity creating or preserving over 2,000 affordable housing apartment units.
He has overseen the acquisition/rehabilitation and ground up development of numerous Section 42 and Section 8 communities across the country, including Puerto Rico. A number of these projects have been structured with various layers of financing including the combinations of 4% or 9% Low Income Housing Tax Credits, HOME and AHP funds. Not only have these projects included a variety of financing subsidies, but also a wide spectrum of populations including low income families, veterans, formerly homeless, senior and disabled households.
