Shawn Evenhaim is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Los Angeles-Shawn Evenhaim is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Los Angeles based Balaciano Group and is widely recognized as one of the leading residential developers in the Los Angeles market. He is the recipient of the prestigious Builder of the Year Award and has led the development of more than 3 million square feet of residential products across a broad range of asset types. His expertise spans entitlements, ground-up development, and complex urban projects. Through his companies, Mr. Evenhaim currently owns and manages real estate assets valued at approximately $1.3 billion. In addition to Balaciano Group, he is the owner of Wilcox & Wilcox, an infrastructure company specializing in underground utilities. Mr. Evenhaim also holds an ownership stake in Shikun & Binui, a publicly traded global infrastructure and real estate development company, where he serves as Vice Chairman of the Board and remains actively involved in strategic oversight. Mr. Evenhaim is a visiting professor and frequent speaker on topics related to entitlements, real estate development, and entrepreneurship. He has also served the City of Los Angeles in several leadership roles, including as a Mayoral Appointee to both the COVID-19 Mayor’s Economic Task Force and the Mayor’s Development Reform Committee. Born and raised in Israel, Mr. Evenhaim served for five years as an officer in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) before immigrating to the United States. In 1994, after serving as President of a residential development company, he founded Balaciano Group, marking the beginning of a distinguished development career. A committed philanthropist, Mr. Evenhaim was recognized as one of the Top 50 Jewish-Americans who have made a significant impact on the Jewish story. He serves in leadership roles on numerous nonprofit boards, including Birthright, the Jewish Federation, and the Israeli-American Council (IAC). Under Evenhaim’s leadership, the IAC expanded from a local, small organization to a nationwide movement. Currently, Evenhaim is the Chairman of the Israeli-American Council for Action. Mr. Evenhaim resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Dorit, and their three children.
