Spike Ehrhardt is the visionary behind the family’s hospitality legacy. His journey began in 1959, working at Sandy’s, a fast-food restaurant in Quincy, Illinois, while still in high school. Rising to store manager, he soon helped open new locations, igniting a passion for building businesses. When Hardee’s acquired Sandy’s in 1967, the Ehrhardt family expanded their footprint, ultimately owning and operating more than 60 Hardee’s restaurants.
