Steve Scheffe is the founder and president of The Scheffe Company, which also does business as The Scheffe Group. Steve established this business in 1987 as an outgrowth of a commercial construction and development business known as Westpark Construction Company, of which he was also president and co-founder.
Steve started his professional career in 1968 in Houston, where over the next eleven years he served as estimator, project manager, vice-president and co-owner of a family-owned commercial general contracting business. In 1980 he moved his construction business to Austin and from 1980 to 1987 engaged in wide variety of office, retail and multi-family projects as both contractor and co-developer. In 1987, Steve shifted the focus of his business to real estate brokerage with an emphasis on development, leasing and brokerage of income-producing properties. Over these last 15 years he has completed transactions totaling over $70,000,000 in value, and has methodically grown his team to handle the opportunities created by the growth of Austin and referrals from clients and business contacts.
Steve is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a Degree in Civil Engineering and also a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law.
Steve is a member of the Real Estate Council of Austin (RECA), the Central Texas Commercial Brokers Association (CTCB), Commercial Leasing Brokers Association (CLBA), Austin Westlake Rotary Club (charter member and past-president), former board member of SafePlace, member of Westlake Presbyterian Church, member of Board of Deacons of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, Houston.
