Since joining the firm in 1989, Steve has provided real estate advisory services to law firms, corporations, nonprofit organizations and trade associations throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area and across the United States. Over the course of his more than 30 years in the industry, Steve has been dedicated to representing tenants in search of real estate solutions that align with their short- and long-term business objectives. To do so, Steve serves as an advocate on his clients’ behalf from inception of the real estate evaluation process through lease negotiations and move-in.
As vice chairman operating out of the firm’s DC office, Steve implements market research, lease analysis, financial modeling, transaction management, business development and client relations. At the end of the day, Steve serves as a trusted advisor to the firm and every one of his clients from the start of the real estate process to completion.
Awards, Achievements and Activities
Steve’s achievements include awards and recognitions from both the national media and Washington, DC real estate community. He has been the recipient of its prestigious ‘Transaction of the Year’ award on multiple occasions.. In addition, Steve received Washington Business Journal’s 2011 ‘Best Suburban Office Lease’ award for his representation of Choice Hotels International in its corporate headquarters relocation.
Commercial Property News has recognized Steve as one of the 24 ‘Hot Brokers’ in the nation and the CoStar Group continues to rank him among the DC area’s ‘Power Brokers’. At Savills, Steve has received numerous awards for his client work including the ‘Numero Uno’ award for being the nationally top-ranked broker within the company in 2003.
Steve serves on the board of directors of the George Washington University Heart & Vascular Institute.
Education
Steve graduated from the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce where he received his Bachelor of Science degree with distinction in Finance.
