Throughout his career, he has completed transactions valued at over $7.5 billion. From 1996 to 1998, Steve was one of the top producers nationally for the Trammell Crow Company, and the top producer in Chicago. After being a principal with Trammell Crow for many years, Steve realized how big of a conflict of interest the national real estate firms have in the marketplace. In 1998, Steve left Trammell Crow to start Gibraltar, a full service, conflict-free real estate advisory firm strictly dedicated to representing tenants. Because Gibraltar does not represent landlords, property management firms or property ownerships, Steve is able to avoid any potential for conflicts when representing his clients both locally and throughout the country.
Shortly after starting Gibraltar, Steve was approached by CBIZ, Inc., which ultimately acquired his firm. Ever since, Steve has led the company’s real estate practice. CBIZ, traded publicly on the NYSE, is a leading professional services provider for both midsized and corporate business, and has offices in major metropolitan areas nationwide. Steve’s team is known and respected throughout the real estate community nationwide, and has completed negotiations on behalf of clients with almost all of the leading real estate ownerships/institutions.
Steve has represented clients in structuring complex real estate transactions for major public corporations, not-for-profit organizations, service firms, privately-held companies, R&D companies and government entities in all major marketplaces throughout the United States.
