In 2002 Mr. Ludwig syndicated his first real estate investment partnership and has since purchased over 100 real estate assets totaling approximately 4,300 multifamily units and 200,000 square feet of industrial properties for an aggregate price of over $1.5 billion throughout Southern California. Most recently, Mr. Ludwig has moved into the multifamily development and has 900 units under entitlement in the South Bay of Los Angeles.
In 2008, Mr. Ludwig moved into property and construction management and building materials, co-founding Coastline Real Estate Advisors (CREA), Turnaround Solutions (TAS) and Tasoro Products. To date, CREA has managed more than 8,000 residential units with a combined asset value in excess of $2.5 billion , while TAS and Tasoro service hundreds of clients nationwide.
Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Mr. Ludwig began his career as a Financial Analyst for Prudential Securities in the Real Estate Investment Banking division followed by a stint at Colony Capital, a premiere international real estate private equity firm.
Mr. Ludwig received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with concentrations in finance and marketing from The Roberto C. Goizueta Business School at Emory University. In addition, Mr. Ludwig is an active philanthropist having been a “Big Brother” with Big Brother Big Sisters of Los Angeles for ten years and more recently actively participated and raised over $2 million for the Challenged Athletes Foundation (www.challengedathletes.org) since 2011.
